Into Toilet Buildings

Modus public restrooms are designed with robust and durable materials able to withstand Australian public environments for years in the future.

Hot-dip Galvanised Steel

Engineered for longevity, our structures use hot-dip galvanised steel treated with a two pack epoxy system. This industrial-grade coating enhances corrosion resistance, making it ideal for harsh coastal, remote and high-traffic environments across Australia. Hot dip galvanised steel requires no maintenance beyond regular cleaning.

Colorbond Ultra Roof

Colorbond® Ultra roofing is engineered for extreme conditions, offering enhanced corrosion resistance ideal for buildings within close proximity to the coast. Its baked-on paint finish and durable steel core help it withstand salty air, heavy rain, and high humidity, making it a long-lasting, low-maintenance choice for exposed locations.

Wood-Look Aluminium

Our wood-look aluminium offers the natural appearance of timber without the ongoing maintenance. Unlike real timber, it won't rot, warp, fade, or attract termites, making it ideal for exposed outdoor environments. The finish is durable, low-maintenance, and doesn't require sealing or repainting. It delivers a warm, architectural aesthetic while ensuring long-term performance and lower lifetime costs.

Aluminium Cladding and Features

Our aluminium elements are built to last and require minimal maintenance. We proudly use locally sourced, recycled aluminium, including Capral’s LocAl® Green billet, which reduces carbon emissions by up to 50%. It’s a smarter, lower-impact alternative to steel or timber, with a clean architectural finish that performs in all environments.

Designed for Natural Disaster Resilience

Cyclone-Rated for Wind Resistance

Cyclone-Rated for Wind Resistance

Our buildings are engineered to Region D wind ratings, with cyclonic roof fixings, upgraded structural members, and heavy-duty anchors to prevent uplift. We use larger gauge roofing screws with oversized washers and clips for added hold, and threaded steel rods for secure footing. All builds come with site-specific certification and full structural documentation to ensure compliance in cyclone-prone regions.
Flood-Ready Construction

Flood-Ready Construction

We use non-porous materials like galvanised steel, aluminium cladding, and epoxy or sealed concrete floors to resist water damage and enable fast clean-up. Stainless steel fixtures provide long-term durability, while elevated electrical systems and minimal automation reduce risk. Gaps beneath wall panels allow floodwater to flow through rather than build pressure. A sewage safeguard system with backflow prevention protects against contamination, and our modular construction allows for easy panel replacement.
Bushfire Resilience

Bushfire Resilience

Modus buildings are made with non-combustible materials like steel frames and aluminium cladding, meeting site-specific BAL ratings. We minimise automation to avoid vulnerable electronics and use traditional fixtures that are more fire-resistant. A clear apron around the building is included in the design to reduce fuel load and ember risk. Our modular construction also enables faster, less disruptive installation in bushfire-prone areas.
