The City of Charles Sturt is actively revitalising community parks and reserves to better serve present and future visitors. The recently transformed MJ McInerney Reserve in West Croydon is now a vibrant outdoor hub with a playground, skatepark, BBQ facilities, and open areas for the entire community. Notably, the park received the award for Best Playground Over $500k at the Parks & Leisure Australia (SA/NT) Awards of Excellence, acknowledging its outstanding initiatives and innovative efforts in the parks and leisure sector. The reimagined recreational area was a collaborative effort involving input from the local community to ensure it aligns with the needs of all ages and abilities, promising a lasting source of enjoyment for years to come.

HOW WE HELPED

Modus provided a custom Yarra 3 toilet building, which included artwork along the panelling taken from the Pinda Street Mural designed by local residents in 1992. The theme of the mural signified work & play and hoped to reflect the community in both past and present.
