What is the Custom Burton?

The Custom Burton is where you bring us your own vision for Modus's classic gable-roof building. Rather than settling on a standard floorplan, this option is your invitation to tell us exactly what you're picturing, from a modest variation through to something entirely different, like the Burton 10 Custom at Kuranda Amphitheatre. For ideas, browse our projects and Inspiration Lookbook, found in our resources or in the Resources section above, then share your thinking and our designers and engineers will work through what's possible.

When should I choose a Custom Burton over a standard model?

For small adjustments to a standard building, like a colour scheme or graphic panels, just pick your Burton by cubicle count and note those requests in your enquiry. The Custom Burton is for briefs the standard floorplans can't cover: more cubicles for event crowds, showers or changing rooms, storage and service areas, or a heritage treatment designed for its setting.

How many cubicles can a Custom Burton have?

There's no set ceiling. Modus has delivered 8 and 10-cubicle Custom Burtons, with each layout designed around the venue's peak crowds and compliance needs.

Does customising affect compliance?

Not at all, and this is where our expertise does the heavy lifting. Describe whatever you're imagining and don't hold back: our designers and engineers will shape your idea so it fully adheres to AS 1428.1 and NCC requirements, and every Custom Burton is engineered for its specific site, including cyclonic regions. Detail at AS 1428.1 compliance.

Does the warranty change on a Custom Burton?

No. The 20-year structural warranty and 50-year design life carry across unchanged from the standard range.
