What is the Custom Capricorn?
The Custom Capricorn is where you bring us your own vision for Modus's curved-roof building. Instead of working within a standard floorplan, this option invites you to put forward whatever you have in mind, from a minor variation to something completely out of the box, all carrying the range's architectural rolled steelwork and rainwater-catching roof. For inspiration, browse our projects and Inspiration Lookbook, found in our resources or in the Resources section above, then share your thinking and our designers and engineers will explore what's possible for your site.
When should I choose a Custom Capricorn over a standard model?
For small changes to a standard building, like a colour scheme or cladding preference, just choose your Capricorn by cubicle count and add those notes to your enquiry. The Custom Capricorn is for briefs beyond the standard floorplans: showers, integrated water tanks and off-grid systems, a service room, an unusual cubicle mix, or a specific architectural response to a foreshore or landmark setting.
How many cubicles can a Custom Capricorn have?
However many the site requires. The layout is engineered around your capacity needs, compliance requirements, and footprint rather than a fixed plan.
Does customising affect compliance?
No, and this is precisely where our expertise takes over. Tell us whatever you're envisioning and don't hold back: our designers and engineers will refine your idea until it fully adheres to AS 1428.1 and NCC requirements, and every Custom Capricorn is structurally engineered for its location, cyclonic Region D included. More at AS 1428.1 compliance.
Does the warranty change on a Custom Capricorn?
It stays the same: a 20-year structural warranty on a 50-year design life building.
How do I start a Custom Capricorn project?

If the layout is the priority, visit our floorplan options and choose Design Your Own Floor Plan to set your cubicle count and design from the floorplan up.
